I actually bought one when I visited Bangkok many years ago. It lasted about 10 years and finally retried. So I was looking the another wallet similar to that. When I found one online similar to the one that I bought, I was thrilled and placed an order. It looks good and genuine. The one I bought in amazon did not look that great. It's almost 9 months and I do not see any issue. Just enjoy it. May be planning to buy some more as gifts to our friends. It's a bit costly, but it is original

I got mine in Bangkok 10 years or so ago and it just keeps lasting as the patina gets better and better every time it gets a 'pants pocket' polish.

Matches the or surpasses the skin quality of anything available retail in North America or Western Europe for 6 times the price though the interior bits do speak of the price.

Still its a super piece that's beauty only grows with time.
